Athletic Republic’s certified performance trainers have the passion and sports-science knowledge to safely improve your athleticism. Our more than 500 performance trainers are constantly furthering our proven methods to help athletes reach their goals.  Because we believe developing athletes is best done in small groups, we provide a trainer to athlete ratio of 1:5.  This allows the trainer to customize a program for each athlete’s individual strengths and weaknesses.

Dave Jarrett

Co-Owner : Sports Performance Trainer
Growing up in Colorado, Dave was a competitive soccer player and skier.  As a Nordic Combined athlete, he was a member of the US Ski Team from 1992 – 1998 and competed in 3 World Championships and 2 Olympic Games (1994 and 1998). Following the 1998 season, Dave retired and began coaching JV Cross Country Skiing at the University of Colorado. After graduating with a degree in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology, he moved to Utah to create a ski program at Soldier Hollow.

His coaching career at the US Ski Team began in 2002. He was elevated to Head Coach in 2008 and retired in 2017. During his tenure, the team experienced their best results ever produced. The team won an unprecedented four medals in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Overall, Jarrett played a role in 11 Olympic and World Championship medals won between 2003 and 2013. 

Along with over 20 years of coaching experience, Dave has received these recognitions and designations:  USSF National C License Soccer Coach; Level 3 USA Cycling Coach; SmartFootball Level 1 (European Elite Soccer Academy) Certified; Order of Ikkos Coaching Award. 

Dave currently resides in Heber City with his wife Kelly, son Jack, and daughter Angela.

Colby Jorgensen

Sports Performace Trainer

Colby was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah and attended Timpview High School in Provo. He received All-State recognition in both Basketball and Football and helped his teams win two State Championships in Football and one in Basketball. During his Senior year, he qualified to compete in the prestigious SPARQ National Championship at Nike World Headquarters in Oregon where he earned a combine score that would rank him 8th in the nation. 

He accepted a football scholarship from BYU and played with them for two seasons before receiving a career ending neck injury during practice. Colby trained at Athletic Republic during his High School and College career and deeply believes in the methods and results of this program. He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's degree in 2017 and is working towards becoming a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Devin Mahina

Sports Performance Trainer

Devin grew up in Ontario, California and attended Upland High School. He played football, basketball and track.  He received national attention for football, as he was rated a 4 star prospect and 11th ranked among his position in the country. He accepted a scholarship to play at BYU where he lettered four times and finished his career in 2014. During his time at BYU, he received 2014 FBS All-Independent Team Honorable Mention, and was invited to play in the 2015 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl postseason all-star game and the prestigious 2015 Senior Bowl postseason all-star game.

In 2015, he signed an NFL contract with the Washington Redskins. In 2016, Devin signed with the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles of the Indoor Football League, and was named Second Team All-IFL in 2017.

Devin now resides in Vineyard with his wife, Lindsay. You can find him in his free time playing basketball or Fortnite. He is excited to team up with Athletic Republic and help all athletes reach their goals.

Dan Ivie, MPT


Dan Ivie is originally from Farmington, New Mexico. He currently resides in Midway, Utah with his wife LauraLee and 4 children. He graduated from Physical Therapy school from Texas Tech University in 2000. His passions are running, biking, wakeboarding, skiing, and hiking. Dan is a particularly talented physical therapist, and is also the owner of Wasatch Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine.

He is excited to extend his passion for athletes, sports, and sports performance to the Athletic Republic - Lehi team.
